As an adjunct lecturer in the Department of Literature and Languages at a four-year university, I teach Composition courses and American and British Literature survey courses both online. I work with dual credit students, traditional students, and non-traditional students. I also teach English full time at my local high school and I am the acting Copy Editor for my local magazine. I have acted as the editor for the documents involved in SACSCOC accreditation and I have also been the Project Coordinator for the Boom or Bust Project, which is funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities grant. I copy edited the Composition Handbook, 3rd through 9th editions.

Outside of teaching and editing, I am also one of three authors of Boom or Bust: Narrative, Life, and Culture from the West Texas Oil Patch.

 

My skills include course design, curriculum design, course edits, proofreading, and copy editing. I am organized and able to multitask. I am proficient with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe InCopy, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign. I am familiar with several academic writing styles including MLA, APA, and Chicago Manual of Style / Turabian. I have collaborated on the creation of an online textbook for our Composition courses.
